Chesapeake Bay Seafood Au Gratin

Chesapeake Bay Seafood Au Gatin is creamy, rich and chock full of seafood. Everyone will love this dish and it goes well any time of year. If you really wan’t that wow factor for that special meal or just want to give the family a special meal then this is the one. Truly a seafood lovers delight.

Recipe Ingredients:

1/2 pound crab meat, cooked

1/2 pound lobster meat, cooked

1/2 pound large shrimp, cooked

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup Cheddar cheese

1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced

1 medium shallot, chopped

6 tablespoons butter

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

3/4 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons brandy

Salt and Pepper to taste

Old Bay seasoning

Directions:

In a medium saucepan, saute mushrooms and shallots in butter until tender. Sprinkle flour over all and cook, stirring, for one minute. Add cream and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in brandy. Season with salt, pepper, and Old Bay seasoning.

Place crab meat, lobster meat, and shrimp in a shallow, buttered casserole dish. Cover with the mushroom-cream sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan and Cheddar cheese. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, then brown under broiler. Sprinkle a little old bay on top and serve.
