Artichokes Au Gratin is a delicious Maryland side dish that compliments any meal. Creamy, tender and easy to make will make this a family dinner staple for years to come.
Recipe Ingredients:
20 ounces of artichoke hearts
2/3 cup swiss cheese, grated
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup light cream
1 chicken bullion cube
1 tablespoon cooking sherry
salt and pepper to taste
Cook the artichoke hearts and drain. Place in the bottom of a 2 quart casserole dish. Dissolve the chicken bullion cube in 1/2 cup of boiling water then ad in flour, butter and cream. Then blend in swiss cheese, salt and pepper. Pour mixture over artichokes and sprinkle more swiss cheese over top. Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees or until bubbly on top.
